Fret Not Thyself Because of Evil Doers
Psalm 37
Stacey Lunsford

Psalm 37:1, Do not fret because of evil men or be envious of those who do wrong;

  • Fret is to suffer emotional strain, to become aggravated or irritated by what evil and negative people are doing around you.

  • Aggravate is to make (a problem, injury, or offence) worse or more serious:
military action would only aggravate the situation.

  • Irritate is to make someone annoyed, impatient, to provoke or make angry.

  • Annoyed is to harm or attack repeatedly.

  • Impatient, having or showing a tendency to be quickly irritated or provoked or angry (example: the impatient motorist blaring his horn)

  • Angry is having a strong feeling of or showing annoyance, displeasure, or hostility:

  • Provoke is to stimulate or give rise to (a reaction or emotion, typically a strong or unwelcome one) in someone:

In this text we are instructed not to get aggitated or aggravated by what evil and negative people are doing around us.

1 Peter 2:1, Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, all evil speakings,

  • Do not desire to inflict injury, damage, hurt or suffering on another person.

  • Do not practice artful deception, trickery, insidious cunning, intending to trap or beguile someone, operating or proceeding inconspicously, (meaning unoticeable)!

  • Do not be a person that pretends to have a desirable, attitude, oppinion, beliefs or principles, when you know that you don't posess them! Do not deceive by false appearance.

  • Do not be discontented or jealous with what other people have, their success, their possessions, their anointing, their calling, fulfill your own calling.

  • Do what God has called you to do and WALK In Your Own Shoes!

Stay focused, mind your own business, clean your own backyard.

Trust in the Lord and do good, so shalt thou dwell in the land and verily thou shall be fed. Delight thyself in the Lord and He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Forgive and releases those that hurt, hate and despise you.

Bless those that curse you and despitefully use you.

God said that He would bless those that bless you and He said that he would curse those who curse you!

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God!
